Sandcastle Storytellers, Inc.

We of Sandcastle Storytellers extend an open invitation to all who cherish the spoken word. Join us for an evening of varied and sundry tales: humor, pathos, fable, and whopper (even the occasional truthful story). All may be heard. We welcome every listener, including the smallest, and offer the opportunity to spin a yarn of your own. Join us every Saturday evening at 6:00 PM at the Boston Gourmet Coffeehouse (109 E. New York, Ave DeLand) in the back room.

The Sandcastle Storytellers Guild was formed 20 years ago by local residents. Although we are primarily based in the Daytona Beach / Deland area, our Sandcastle organization has received considerable recognition in the Storytelling community. We now have active members in several surrounding counties who come to the Daytona / Deland meetings to share their stories and to listen.

Regular Events

Please join us every Saturday evening 6:00-8:00 PM for an open mike/story swap at the Boston Gourmet Coffeehouse (109 E. New York Ave., DeLand). Come early and enjoy soup/salad/sandwich.

We will be offering story coaching once a month at the Boston Gourmet meeting on Saturday nights starting the second Saturday in March.    Contact Terry Deer for more information.

Sandcastle Storytellers meet at Crane Lakes on the third Friday of each month at 2 PM in the Card Room. Dates for 2012 are:
